In a recent official announcement, the Home Office has made it clear that beginning from 1 September 2021, all the employers will resume face-to-face and physical document checks for every employee they hire as set out in legislation and Right to work checks guidance. The employer will continue to conduct temporary right to work checks via video call until 31 August 2021 under the coronavirus temporary checking measures.By conducting the right to work check the employer can ensure whether the employee is legally allowed to work for the employer or not. There are 2 ways of doing it, manual and online. Manual check involves obtaining the documents, checking it and making copies of the documents for record purpose.
