Right to Work Checks (Employer Guidance)

In a recent official announcement, the Home Office has made it clear that beginning from 1 September 2021, all the employers will resume face-to-face and physical document checks for every employee they hire as set out in legislation and Right to work checks guidance.  The employer will continue to conduct temporary right to work checks via video call until 31 August 2021 under the coronavirus temporary checking measures.By conducting the right to work check the employer can ensure whether the employee is legally allowed to work for the employer or not. There are 2 ways of doing it, manual and online. Manual check involves obtaining the documents, checking it and making copies of the documents for record purpose. Your application for a student loan in the Uk will depend on a number of grounds such as The university or college details and background information, the course you are applying for, If you have any higher education degree in any course before this application, your age at the time of applying and background information and your national identity and the current UK immigration status. If you are an EU citizen and you have applied for a course that is scheduled to start on or after 01 August 2021 then you must have a settled or pre-settled status under the EU Settlement Scheme to apply for student education loans. If you are not having a settled status it disqualifies you from seeking a student education loan. However the Irish citizens who want to study in the UK are exempted.
