Important changes in the SNAP 2019 examination

The Symbiosis Deemed University (SIU) has announced the schedule for the SNAP 2019 examination. SNAP is an online-based national level entrance examination which is conducted annually. This year, SNAP exam will be conducted in more than 90 cities. SNAP exam pattern will follow the new changes announced by SIU. Candidates comprising of graduation degree are eligible to appear for SNAP exam. Let’s now learn about the newest changes in the SNAP examination. 

What are the latest changes in the SNAP examination

  • According to SIU, students have to attempt only three sections. You’ll not see the Current affairs sections in the exam paper pattern. SNAP paper pattern consists of three parts – Verbal ability (VA) and Reading Comprehension (RC), Analytical and Logical Reasoning (LR), and Quantitative- Data Interpretation (DI) and Data Sufficiency (DS).
  • Previously, the SNAP paper pattern consists of 130 to 150 questions. Later after revision of SNAP paper pattern, students have to attempt only 110 questions. 
  • The Quantitative- Data Interpretation (DI) and Data Sufficiency (DS) will only consist of 5 special questions. Students have to attempt less special questions this year. 
  • SIU has also changed the marking scheme for SNAP examination. Each question in the Verbal Ability (VA) and Reading Comprehension (RC) section will carry a weightage of 1.5 marks. Questions in Analytical and Logical Reasoning (LR) will also follow the same pattern. On the other hand, questions in the Quantitative- Data Interpretation (DI) and Data Sufficiency (DS) will comprise of 1 mark each. 

The competition level of the SNAP examination will surely increase. SIU made quite beneficial changes for the students. But there are possibilities of increase in difficulty level. Hope you prepare well for the SNAP 2019 examination.
